Home Staging Tips to Attract Tenants

Home Staging Tips to Attract Tenants

There are some benefits to staging a rental property, as long as you’re doing it right. You could even end up achieving a higher rent when presenting the property to potential tenants.

Take note of these tips for Property Managers/Landlords to highlight the best features and of a property.

Living Room

This space should feel warm and welcoming. Llit lamps and some potted plants can help with that. Coordinated pillows in bright colours bring a sense of symmetry and order.

Kitchen

Keep things minimal. Set out a bowl of fruit or delicate-looking containers on the counters. If there’s a table or island, place some seating. Update cabinets with fresh paint and new handles.

Bedroom

Keep the bed facing towards a focal point, such as a big window. Crisp white sheets give the room a hotel feel while colourful throw pillows or a blanket add a touch of interest.

Bathroom

Take extra steps to make bathrooms feel luxurious. Fresh white towels, a couple of candles and decorative baskets will make prospective tenants feel like they’re moving up.

Outdoors

Ensure the outdoor area is landscaped and free from debris and clutter. Choose a paint colour for the door that compliments the trim of the building. Even swapping out the house number for a new one could make a difference in terms of curb appeal.
